John Kristzonas Sr.

Surrounded by his loving family, John Kristzonas Sr., age 88, passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2011, at his residence. John was born in Sheboygan, WI, on May 6, 1923, son of the late Willliam and Rosalia (Nee: Wenskunas) Kristzonas.

During World War II John proudly served in the United States Navy on the U.S.S. Indiana. On May 4, 1985, he was united in marriage to Elizabeth Brule, who preceded him in death on October 26, 2003. He was a member of St. Lucy Catholic Church, VFW Post 1391, Boilermaker Local Union 118, and the Old Timers League. John was an avid Packer fan, and enjoyed golfing and bowling. He will be dearly missed.

Survivors include his children, Carlyn Rittenhouse, Charlene Rittenhouse, Joy Schoeffler, John (Mary) Kristzonas Jr., Dawn (Dave) Hadler; his stepchildren, Terri York, Vickie (Mark) Schram, Mary (George) Schram, John Scheifel; 20 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Richard Brul, Diane Fay, Teresa (John) McCauley; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Audrey (Nee: Rittenhouse); second wife, Elizabeth (Nee: Brule); and two brothers and three sisters.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, October 22, 2011, at 11 a.m. at West Lawn Memorial Park Chapel, 9000 Washington Ave., with Rev. Sean Granger officiating. Memorials to the American Cancer Society have been suggested.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Hospice Alliance, and especially to Kimberly, Jennifer and Elaine for their loving and compassionate care.
