Jerome A. Bickwermert, 83, passed away at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare – All Saints on Friday, October 21, 2011.
Jerome was born in Ferdinand, Indiana, to the late Edwin and Afra (nee: Horney) Bickwermert on June 21, 1928. After his service in the United States Army, he was united in marriage to Betty Heichelbech in Ferdinand, Indiana, and moved to Racine.
Mr. Bickwermert was employed by Western Printing Company, retiring after 40 years.
Jerome was a loving father and grandfather to Debra Bachmann and her children, Elizabeth, Laura, Alexandra and Leighton. He is further survived by nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Betty; three brothers and two sisters.
A celebration of Jerome’s life with full Military Honors will be held at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery Chapel on Monday, October 31, 2011, at 10 a.m. Inurnment will follow the services.
