Christine A. (Banach) Hinickle

With her family by her side, Christine A. Hinickle, age 57, passed away peacefully on Friday January 17, 2014, following  a long courageous battle with MS.  Christine was born in Milwaukee on July 14, 1956, daughter of Walter and Dorothy (nee: Radulski) Banach.

On October 8, 1977, Chris married the love of her life, Robert J. Hinickle at St. Paul Catholic Church in Milwaukee. Chris graduated summa cum laude with a Master's degree in Nursing from Marquette University and was a member of the Nursing Honor Society, Sigma Theta Tau. She previously graduated from Columbia College of Nursing.  Through the years, she was employed with Alverno College, Franciscan Villa and lastly with St. Francis Hospital.  She will be fondly remembered for her dedicated care to her patients. Above all, she will be best remembered for her courage, determination and her great love for her family. She will be dearly missed.

Survivors include, her loving husband, Bob of 37 years; son, Andy (Angel) Hinickle of Ithaca, New York; grandson, Gabriel; mother, Dorothy Banach of Milwaukee; sister, Barbara (Ronald) Laabs of Iron Ridge, WI; brother, Robert (Gina) Banach of St. Francis, WI; brother-in-law, David Hinickle of Milwaukee; former sister-in-law, Judy Hinickle of Germantown; nieces, nephews other relatives and dear friends.  Chris was preceded in death by her father, Walter.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 6400 Spring St., on Wednesday, January 22, 2014, at 11 a.m., with Rev. Terrance J. Huebner officiating.  Interment will follow at St. Adalbert Cemetery, Milwaukee.  Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass at 11 a.m. Memorials to the Racine Food Pantry have been suggested.
