With his wife and children by his side, James R. Wemmert, age 83, passed away early Friday afternoon, January 3, 2014, at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee. James was born in Racine on July 29, 1930, son of the late Edward and Amanda (nee: Hochgurtel) Wemmert and had been a lifelong resident.

You could find Jim the past twenty years greeting you with a smile, while working with his son at Mitch and Marty’s Service Station on Douglas Avenue. He was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Plumbers and Steamfitters Union, Local #118.
Jim will be best remembered for his love and dedication to his entire extended family. He was especially proud of his grandchildren and all of their accomplishments.
