Robert A. Pirk Sr.

Wittenberg, WI -- Robert A. Pirk Sr., age 51, passed away of a heart attackon  Wednesday, January 22, 2014, at his home in Wittenberg, WI.    He was born in Racine on October 16, 1962, son of Richard and Judith (Nee: Lema) Pirk and was raised and educated in Racine.

On August 15, 1981, he was united in marriage to Cynthia Bendlin.  Bob was a member of the Racine Instinctive Bowmen Club, and Racine Scout Drum and Bugle Corps for several years.  Bob lived for and enjoyed fishing, hunting and archery.   If you ever got his voice mail it said, “I’m either fishing or hunting -- leave a message.”  He fished year-round.

Survivors include the loving mother of his children, Cynthia; children, Robert Jr.,  Candace (Juan) and Jeremy; four grandchildren; mother, Judith; brothers, Ronald, Donald (Wendy), Daniel (Joy); many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends; best friends, Jeremy Luber, Donald Firkus, Curt Jensen and Jason Amundson.

He was preceded in death by his father, Richard; twin brother, Richard; two nephews, David and Billy; and grandparents, Walter and Gladys Pirk, Julius “Duke” and LaVern Lema.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2014, at 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home.  Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park.  Relatives and friends may meet with the family on Monday at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. and Tuesday at the funeral home from 11:30 a.m. until time of service at 12:30 p.m.
