Jean A. Mullenberg Andersen, age 84, went to be with her Lord in heaven, on Monday, January 27, 2014. Jean was born on January 22, 1930, in Greenville, SC, and was raised by Harry and Emily (nee: Bromley) Smith.
On April 18, 1968, she was united in marriage to Walter “Wally” W. Andersen, who preceded her in death on November 30, 2008. Jean owned and operated Kettle Kountry Kafe in Campbellsport, WI, and late was employed as a chef in various restaurants in Southeastern Wisconsin. She was most recently with the Milwaukee Metro Auto Auction. With a beautiful voice, Jean loved to sing at various clubs, on the radio and TV in her younger years. She will be dearly missed by her family.
Survivors include her children, Emily (Richard) Day, Sherry (Gordy) Simanek, Daniel (Theresa) Mullenberg, Shelly (Jim) Pinter; grandchildren, Jasmine, Javis, Rickey, Heidi, Jason, Jessica, Gordy, Troy, Danielle and Chad; great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Daisy Alexander; siblings, Laurel, Ernest, Doris and Ruby.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 3, 2014, at 5:30 p.m. at Journey Church (previously Kenosha First Assembly of God), 10700 75th St., Hwy 50, Kenosha, with Rev. Dan Remus officiating. Private interment will be held at Southern Wisconsin Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, Town of Dover. Visitation will be Monday at the church from 4 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family have been suggested.
