Horst J. Bendrin

Horst J. Bendrin, age 74, passed away on Friday, January 17, 2014, at Wheaton Franciscan All Saints Medical Center.  He was born in Weilrhine, Germany, on August 10, 1939, son of the late Otto and Helena (Nee: Klatt) Bendrin.  At the age of 26 Horst immigrated to Racine, WI.

In April 1967 he was united in marriage to Patricia Ann Griese.  Horst worked in construction as a bricklayer and stone setter.  He was a member of Deutscher Männer Verein.  He enjoyed working in his yard, woodworking and building furniture.   Above all, he treasured time spent with his family. He will be dearly missed.

Surviving are his wife, Patricia; children, Clayton John (Aurora), Jeffrey (Jackie), Kimberly (John) and Terry; grandchildren, Clayton Jr., Kristin and Jamie; three great grandchildren; a sister, Imgaard (Rudy) Fuelner; sisters-in-laws and brother-in-law, Margaret Bendrin, Jackie Jossart, Bernard (Julia) Griese; nephews, Christoff (Biote) Fuelner, Martin Fuelner; one great-niece and one great-nephew; other relatives and dear friends.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Scott; and a brother, Alvin.

Per Horst’s wishes, private services were held.
