Frank “Flap” Faculjak died on Wednesday, July 27, 2011. He was a loving and wise family man and a true gentleman to all. He will be remembered forever and dearly missed.
Born September 7, 1933, Frank is survived by his wife, Mary; he was her quiet hero for 54 years. He is also survived by his sister, Helen Dupor; his five children, Claire Schmitt (Mark), Michael Falk (Melanie), Barbara, Gary and Carol (Mark Johnston); as well as his four grandchildren, Deidra and Zachary Larsen, Megan Falk and Lewis Johnston. Frank was loved by many relatives and close friends.
Frank was retired from the Milwaukee County Highway Department, and was a member of the Local 8 Bricklayers Union. He served in the United States Army as a sergeant and was a member of the Korean War Veterans Association, Chapter 227.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 2, from 4-7 p.m. and Wednesday, August 3, from 10-10:30 a.m., with a service and full military honors immediately following. A private burial will be held at the Southern Wisconsin Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in the Town of Dover, WI. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to either the Friends of Wehr Nature Center in Franklin, WI, or the Korean War Veterans Association, Chapter 227, in Racine, WI. The family asks you to remember Frank in a way that makes you smile and warms your heart.
