Norman G. Sill

Norman G. Sill, age 80, passed away Sunday, July 10, 2011, at his residence. Norman was born in Colby, WI, on November 30, 1930, son of the late Frank and Emma (Nee: Prange) Sill.

He proudly served in the Korean War and belonged to the Veterans of Foreign Wars –VFW Post 2227. On September 2, 1967, at Holy Communion Lutheran Church he was united in marriage to Audrey F. David (Nee: Ritchey), who preceded him in death on September 11, 2003. Norman was employed by Styberg Engineering for twenty-five years. He was a faithful member of Holy Communion Lutheran Church, active member and honorary Commodore of Harbor Lite Yacht Club, Kiwanis Club, and long-time member of the Musicians Union (Western Strings Band). Norman also enjoyed bowling. He will be dearly missed.

Survivors include his two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert (Joan) David of Racine, Gary (Judith) David of Sheboygan, WI; his ten grandchildren, Tracy (Brian) Bachhuber of Madison, WI, Rob (Beth) David, Michelle Bellaire, Karen (Andrew) Veselik, Brian (Mary) David, all of Racine, Annette Gillam of Sheboygan Falls, WI, Richard David of Sheboygan, Jim Theres of McFarland, Jeff (Teresa)Theres of Michigan, Jill (Todd) Herrmann of Appleton, WI; twenty great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Lois Ritchey of Racine, Irene Sill of Kenosha, Marie Sill of Colby, WI; special friend, June Decker; dear friends, Nancy Nielsen, Dwight Geisler, John and Julie Shelby; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by two brothers, Otto and Paul; and a sister.

Funeral services with full military honors will be held at the funeral home on Friday, July 15, 2011, at 11 a.m. Private interment will be held at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Friday from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Holy Communion Lutheran Church have been suggested.
