Marjorie H. (Strohm) Bankenbush

Marjorie H. Bankenbush (nee: Strohm), age 72, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, July 6, 2011. Marge was born in Racine, on December 1, 1938.

On May 2, 1959, she was united in marriage to Franklyn J. Bankenbush,  who preceded her in death in 2006. Survivors include four children, Scott Bankenbush, Jeff (Theresa) Bankenbush, Kris Bankenbush all of Racine and Sandy Peters of Palm Harbor, FL; seven grandchildren; Heather Bankenbush, Holly Bankenbush, Jennifer (Chad) Enslin, Cori Bankenbush, Bronte and Mackenzie Peters and Joe Boedecker; three great-grandchildren, Peyton and Chesney Bankenbush and Morgan Pankow. Other survivors include her father, Albert Strohm of Antioch, IL. sister, Barbara (Richard) Martin of Antioch, IL; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends. In addition to her husband, Frank, she was preceded in death by her step-mother, Ruffina Strohm; and step-sister and brother-in-law, Lois (Joe) Massey.

Marge devoted her life to her family and her greatest joys came from time spent with them, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Marge was employed at TLC Childcare Center, as a cook, for the last thirteen years and was affectionately known as "Ms. Marge." She will be missed by everyone who knew her. She truly was a special woman.

Please join us for a celebration of Marge's life on Wednesday, July 13, 2011, at True Life Ministries, corner of Hwy C and Hwy H, with Pastor Jeffrey Butler officiating. Family and friends may meet at the church, Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. until time of service at noon. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park.
