Wendy L. Pitchford

Wendy L. Pitchford, age 53, passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2011, at Wheaton Franciscan – All Saints Medical Center. Wendy was born in Racine, February 11, 1958, daughter of Aaron and Diane (Nee: Miller) Mentch and was a lifelong resident of Racine.

On April 30, 1977, she was united in marriage to Scott A. Pitchford. Wendy was member and past president of the PTA at Giese School. She enjoyed puzzles, playing scrabble with her husband and granddaughter. Wendy was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother who cherished time spent with her family. She will be deeply missed.

Survivors include her loving husband of thirty-four years, Scott; her mother, Diane Nelson; her daughter, Michelle Pitchford; and granddaughter, Mackenzie Kusters; brothers, John (Linda) Mentch, Mark (Sharon) Mentch; special aunt and uncle, Lorry (Chuck) Coovert; close friends, Tom and Denise Chadek and family; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Aaron Mentch.

A Memorial Service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, July 13, 2011, at 6 p.m. with visitation from 4 p.m. until time of service at 6 p.m.
