Julian David “JD” Coe, age 51, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, July 14, 2011, at his residence. He was born in Racine April 14, 1960, son of the late Clifford and Lillie (nee: Winter) Coe and had been a lifelong resident.
JD graduated from Walden High School “Class of 1978.” He had been employed with Racine Industries for nineteen years. He also was employed as a bartender at the Gallery bar and Grill and Andy’s Tavern, where he had many good times and established good friendships, especially with the Penny Wawiorka family. JD enjoyed playing softball and was a big fan of the Green Bay Packers and NASCAR. He especially enjoyed his trips to Jackson, MI, to watch the races. JD will be dearly missed.
Surviving are 12 brothers and sisters: James (Christine) Coe, John Coe, Jerome (Cynthia) Coe, Jeffrey Coe, Jay (Laura) Coe, Joseph Coe, Justin Coe, Janet (Allen ) Gustin, Joyce (Russell) Gustin, Jason (Holly) Coe, Jacqueline (Jeffrey) Steinhoff, Joann (Mark) Harris; nieces and nephews including his Godson, Daniel Gustin; great nieces and great nephews, other relatives and dear friends. In addition to his parents, he also was preceded in death by his twin sisters, Dawn and Nancy.
A Memorial service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, July 20, 2011, at 7 p.m. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home Wednesday from 5 p.m. until time of service at 7 p.m. Private interment will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy. 32. Memorials to the family have been suggested.
