Henry Talaga, 88, passed away on January 23, 2009, at Ruth Hospice in West Allis.
Mr. Talaga was born in Slovan, Pennsylvania, on October 24, 1920, to the late Michael and Mary Talaga and lived in Racine for most of his life. On November 28, 1942, he was united in marriage to Mary Gurosh in Dubuque, Iowa.
Mr. Talaga was employed at Young Radiator as a punch operator for over 40 years before his retirement in 1982. He was also an active member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church.
Henry is survived by his two sons and daughter-in-laws, Michael (Carol) Talaga of Greendale and John (Sandra) Talaga of Naples, FL; his grandchildren; his great-grandchildren; two sisters, Wanda Syring of Racine and Helen Gru of Chicago, IL; one brother, Fred Nawrocki of Merriville, IN; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Henry was preceded in death by his wife Mary, along with three brothers and one sister.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Paul the Apostle Church, 6400 Spring St., on Friday, January 30, 2009, at 11 a.m. with Fr. William J. Dietzler officiating. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Garden Court Crypts. Relatives and friends may meet with the family from 9 a.m. until the time of mass at St. Paul the Apostle.
