Mabel M. (Sorensen) Aegerter

Mabel M. Aegerter, age 100, passed away Saturday, January 3, 2009, at Oak Ridge Care Center, Union Grove, WI. Mabel was born in Racine on October 21, 1908, daughter of the late Soren and Anna (Nee: Deiringer) Sorensen.

Mabel was a graduate of Racine High School. On September 21, 1929, she was united in marriage to Warren F. Aegerter who preceded her in death, June 23, 1983. Mabel was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and Ladies Aid. She enjoyed playing cards with the Happy Times Card Club at Lakeview Community Center. Above all, she devoted her life to her family and will be dearly missed.

Survivors include her son, Thomas (Jeanette) Aegerter of Racine; her three grandchildren, David Aegerter of Racine, Michael (Jane) Aegerter of Dover, Scott Aegerter of Middleton; her five great-grandchildren, Jonathon, David, Ashley, Jacob and Hannah; brother-in-law, Raymond Kressig of Racine; sister-in-law, Norma Sorensen of Racine; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her two sisters, Lillian Jacobson and Violet Petersen; and by her brother, Edward Sorensen.

A Memorial Service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 2065 Geneva St., on Saturday, January 10, 2009, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Stephen Jennings officiating. Interment will be held at Graceland Cemetery. Memorials to Trinity Lutheran Church have been suggested.
