Burdette May Andersen

Burdette May (nee: Koehler) Andersen, 89, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2009, at Grande Prairie Health and Rehabilitation Center in Pleasant Prairie. She was born in Wilton on May 17, 1919, to Louis and Mae (Williams) Koehler.

Burdette was united in marriage to Raymond D. Andersen in 1942. He preceded her in death on November 17, 1979. She was a charter member of Mt. Pleasant Lutheran Church and was active for many years with different church groups, including the quilting group. She also was a former member and past president of the Women’s Auxiliary.

Surviving are her sons, Michael Andersen of Pleasant Prairie, Bruce (Cheryl) Andersen of Old Hickory, TN, and Robert (Cindy) Andersen of Lascassas, TN; grandchildren, Brett Andersen, Kendra Andersen, Adam Andersen and Aaron Smith; great-granddaughter, Allison Bobeck. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at Mt. Pleasant Lutheran Church on Thursday; March 5, 2009, at 11 a.m. Burial will take place at Graceland Cemetery. There will be a visitation at the church on Thursday before services from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m.

Memorials to American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 902, Pewaukee, WI 53072-0902 have been suggested.
