Leona Antonwitch

Leona Antonwitch, 78, passed away at Ridgewood Care Center on Sunday, March 15, 2009. She was born in Chicago, IL, on January 11, 1931. Leona had been a resident of Racine since 1949.

On November 27, 1954, in St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Racine, she was united in marriage to Thomas Antonwitch who preceded her in death on March 4, 1994. Leona was a longtime member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church.

Surviving are her sister-in-law Lois Marsolek of Crivitz; nieces and nephews, and several close friends and neighbors.

In addition to her beloved husband, Tom, Leona was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth, in 1985 and her mother, Lucille Bramham.

Private services were held. Burial was in West Lawn Memorial Park with Rev. William J. Dietzler officiating. A Memorial Mass will be held in St. Monica’s Chapel, 3920 N. Green Bay Rd., on Saturday, March 28, at noon. Friends may call from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Memorials can be made to Orphaned K-9’s, Children’s Hospital or your favorite charity,
