Myron 'Mike' R. Fidler

Myron “Mike” R. Fidler, age 85, passed away March 9, 2009, at his residence. Mike was born in Davenport, Iowa, on June 20, 1923, son of the late Wallace Z. and Grace E. (Nee: Quick) Fidler.

During World War II he served in the United States Navy. He established residence in Racine in 1951. On June 7, 1952, he married the former Nancy L. Kutzner. Mike was professionally employed in the Racine area as an interior designer, last working for 23 years at Paulson’s Junction Furniture Company until his retirement in 1985. He was an active member of Faith United Methodist Church since 1963 and had had served his church in many capacities. Mike enjoyed woodworking projects. One of his greatest joys came from his time spent at his cottage with his family at Kangaroo Lake in Door County. He will be dearly missed.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy; his daughter, Jodi Ann Fidler (fiancé, Arnold Toby) of Racine; brother, Ray W. (Sue) Fidler of Laurinburg, NC; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Glen N. Fidler.

A Memorial Service will be announced and held at a later date. Memorials to Wisconsin Parkinson Association or to Faith United Methodist Church have been suggested.
