Aline E. Wohlust, age 89, passed away Saturday, April 11, 2009, at Becker Shoop Center.
Aline was born in Vernon, CO, on October 19, 1919, daughter of the late Mons and Sophie
(Nee: Brudor) Thorkildoson.
On June 27, 1938, Aline was united in marriage to Leroy Wohlust. She was employed by Hamilton Beach Co. for more than 20 years and was last employed by Andis Company until her retirement in 1981. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed playing darts.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Geraldine (Lawrence) Langenfeld; her grandchildren, Dawn (Tom) Winter, Dennis (Robin) Langenfeld, Duane (Rose) Langenfeld, Dena (Mark) Kohls; great-grandchildren, Tom Winter Jr., Krissy Winter, Dennis (Nikki) Langenfeld Jr., Kyle Langenfeld, Monica (Frank) Ruffalo, Ryan Langenfeld and John Kohls; sister and brother-in-law, Ellen (Mike) Dunnum; brothers and sister-in-law, Ruth (Fred) Oertel, Kerry (Skip) Wohlust; nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy; two brothers, Obert and Tilman; and her sister, Myrtle Brewer.
Memorial services will be held at the funeral home on Friday April, 17, 2009, at 6 p.m. with Rev. Stephen Jennings officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home Friday from 5 p.m. until time of services. Memorials to the Southeastern Regional Cancer Society have been suggested.
The family extends a special thank you to Aline’s good friend, Ruth Scott, and to the staffs at the Becker-Shoop Center and Heartland Hospice for all of their loving and compassionate care.
