Sam Kalajian, 76, passed away at his home on Sunday, April 12, 2009.
Sam was born in Racine on January 19, 1933, to Artin and Nuvart (nee, Boyajian) Kalajian. He had been employed for various manufacturing companies in Racine, including, Western Publishing, J.I. Case Co. and Webster Electric, last working for Goodwill Industries. Sam was a proud uncle and great-uncle.
Sam is survived by his sister, Rose Gorske; niece, Laura (Gary) Lawler; nephew, Richard (Sandra) Gorske; great-nieces and great-nephew, Jennifer (Alexandro) Montenegro, Amanda Lawler, Amy Lawler, Alexander Gorske and Ellaina (Neil) Munger; and great-great-niece, Kylie Kroack. Sam is also survived by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Helen Kalajian.
Funeral services for Sam will be held at St. Mesrob Armenian Apostolic Church on Thursday, April 16, 2009, at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Yeprem Kelegian officiating. Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church on Thursday from noon until the time of services. Memorials may be directed to St. Mesrob Armenian Apostolic Church or Graceful Aging.
