Rosemarie A. (Lico) Wiatrowski-Travis

Rosemarie A. Wiatrowski-Travis, age 66, passed away Sunday, April 26, 2009, at Wheaton Franciscan All Saints Medical Center. She was born in New York, NY, on January 19, 1943, daughter of the late Charles and Seraphine (Nee: Contessa) Lico.

Rosemarie was employed with United Airlines and retired from there after over thirty years of service. She then went on to work with Pactiv Corp. until her retirement in 2006. She was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, a member of Wisconsin Ovarian Cancer Alliance (W.O.C.A.) and was a United Way Volunteer. Rosemarie enjoyed gardening and cruises but most of all spending time with her family. Rosemarie will be forever remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed.

Rosemarie is the beloved wife of Howie Travis of Racine ; loving mother to her son, Christopher Wiatrowski (Katie Meyer) of Chicago; loving sister of Catherine (Fred) Uhl of Venice, FL; stepchildren, Tracy (Steve) Kral of Caledonia, Megan (Shawn) Wilder of Racine, Todd Travis of Racine; grandchildren, Maggie, Kaylee, Britani and Nathan; great-granddaughter, Breaisha; brother-in-law, Darrell (Norine) Travis of Oak Creek,; nephews, Richard (Allison) Stewart, Kenneth (Val) Stewart; her friend and father of their son, Wojcieh Wiatrowski; other relatives and dear friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, May 1, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 6400 Spring St., with Reverend William Dietzler officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Thursday at the funeral home from 4-7 p.m. (6:45 p.m. Remembering service) and on Friday at the church from 10 a.m. until time of Mass. Memorials to the W.O.C.A. in Franklin, WI, have been suggested.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Doctors Mullane and Johnson and staffs for their continued support.
