Jack Alan Spencer

Jack Alan Spencer, 79, passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2009, at Becker Shoop Center. He was a lifelong resident of Racine, born on August 17, 1929, the son of Floyd and Ida (nee: Muleski) Spencer.

On April 2, 1949, Jack was united in marriage to Ardice Macaione in Iowa City, Iowa. He served in the United States Army 82nd Airborne Division. Jack retired as a hydraulic pump repairman in 1992 from Bosch, formerly known as Racine Hydraulics, after 30 years of service. He was an avid golfer, playing courses throughout Racine, the United States and Jamaica, especially with his friends and fellow golfers from Cham-Tap.

Jack is survived by his wife of 60 years, Ardice; children, Jack (Mary) Spencer, Alan Spencer all of Racine and Don (Karen) Spencer of Eagle River; seven grandchildren, J.T., Matthew, Amy, Gina, Chayce, Carly and Ryan; four great-grandchildren, Mia, Bryce, Ryan and Abigail, son-in-law, Jeff (Barb) Sutton of Sparta. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Jack was preceded in death by two daughters, Deborah Spencer and Jeanne Sutton; one son, David Spencer; granddaughter, Faye Spencer; two daughters-in-law, Diane and Barbara Spencer; and brother, Wally Muleski.

Memorial services will be at Sturino Funeral Home on Sunday, April 26, 2009, at 3 p.m. Private burial will be held at Calvary Cemetery. There will be a visitation on Sunday from 1 p.m. until time of service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Hospice Alliance, 10220 Prairie Ridge Blvd., Pleasant Prairie, WI 53158 have been suggested.

The Spencer family would like to extend a very special thank you to the entire staff at Becker Shoop Center for the fine care given to Jack.
