Karl R. Pinnow, 59, passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2009, at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare – All Saints. He was a lifelong resident of Racine, born on June 14, 1949, the son of Karl and Hildur (nee: Storheim) Pinnow. Karl served in the United States Army from 1969 to 1971. He was an over-the-road truck driver for many years. Karl enjoyed riding his motorcycle and shooting pool.
Surviving are his sisters, Janice (Gerald) Zinke and Barbara (Stephen) Jensen; brother, David Pinnow; nieces and nephews, Terri (Greg) Ailes, Kerri (Scott) Hanson, Debbie Jensen, Steven (Karen) Jensen, Aaron (Shelly) Pinnow and Benjamin Pinnow. Further survived by great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, great-great-nephews, other relatives and friends.
Karl was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial services will be held at Sturino Funeral Home on Monday, April 20, 2009, at 3 p.m. Private inurnment will be at Veteran’s Southern Wisconsin Memorial Cemetery. There will be a visitation at the funeral home on Monday before services from 1:30 p.m. until service time.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated.
A special thank you to the 3rd floor ICU staff at All Saints, Dr. Mullane, Dr. Bader, their staff and Hospice for the care given to Karl.
