Betty H. Larsen

Betty H. (nee: Stuhr) Larsen, 97, passed away on Thursday, November 6, 2008, at Mt. Carmel Nursing Home in Burlington. She was born on June 14, 1911, the daughter of Carl and Marie Stuhr. On August 30, 1938, Betty was united in marriage to Hans C. Larsen. Betty had been a member of Bethania Lutheran Church and an avid member of Dania Hall for many years. She was employed as a receptionist for Dr. Stitka.

Betty is survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends in Racine and Denmark. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hans, on January 1, 1979; one sister, Bodel Hay; four brothers, Olaf, Bill, Ted and Carl and a niece, Barbara Robers.

Graveside services for Betty will be held at Graceland Cemetery on Monday, November 10, 2008, at 1 p.m., with Rev. Steve Wohlfeil from Bethania Lutheran Church officiating. For those wishing to attend services, please meet at the cemetery entrance.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Bethania Lutheran Church have been suggested by the family
