Michael G. Gedemer, age 58, passed away Sunday, November 23, 2008 at Wheaton-Franciscan All Saints Medical Center. Michael was born in Racine on June 5, 1950, son of the late Jerome and Loretta (Nee: Brown) Gedemer.
He served in the United States Army for two years. Michael was a graduate of St. Catherine’s High School Class of 1968. Furthering his education, he graduated with a degree in History from the University of St. Thomas, MN. Michael was employed by Styberg Engineering for nearly thirty years. He was an avid sports fan. Above all he loved being with his family and will be deeply missed.
Survivors include his two sons, Scott Gedemer and Brian Gedemer, both of Racine; brother, Charles (Ann) Gedemer of Franksville; two sisters, Marilyn (Richard) Hasselbrink of Racine, Patricia (William) Albro of CA; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
Private services were held with interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy 32. Memorials to the Oncology Alliance Philanthropy Fund, 1055 North Mayfair Road, Suite 200, Milwaukee, WI 53226 have been suggested.
Special thanks to Dr. Michael P. Mullane and all the nurses at Wheaton-Franciscan who cared for him during his stay.
