Nancy “Nan” (nee: Hatlem) Brown, 73, passed away on Sunday, November 16, 2008, at Froedtert Memorial Hospital with her family by her side. She was born on June 18, 1935, the daughter of Norman “Red” and Agnes (nee: Larson) Hatlem.
Nan was united in marriage to James Brown on July 9, 1956. She was a member of Emmaus Lutheran Church for many years. Nan and Jim found great love and enjoyment at the many golf courses and casinos that they visited.
Nan is survived by her husband, James; their three sons, James Brown, Robert (Christine) Brown and Charlie Brown; daughter, Linda (Michael) Honan; two grandsons, Connor and Jacob Brown; and niece, Peggy (Gary) Stephens. She is further survived by other relatives and many dear friends. Nan was preceded in death by her parents, and granddaughter, Jessica.
Funeral services honoring Nan’s life will be held at Emmaus Lutheran Church, 1925 Summit Ave., on Thursday, November 20, 2008, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Mary Janz officiating. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. There will be a visitation at Sturino Funeral Home on Wednesday evening from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and at church on Thursday from 10:30 a.m. until time of service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family have been suggested.
