Zita is survived by sons, Carl Bergemann of Denver, CO, Steven (Julie) Bergemann of West Bend, WI; granddaughters, Jennifer (Seth) Horzen of Sheboygan, WI, Gretchen Bergemann of Reno, NV, Elizabeth (Brett) Jaffe of Reno, NV; precious great-granddaughters, Katrina, Caitlyn, and Isabella Horzen of Sheboygan; a sister, Caroline (Richard) Kasel of St. Paul, MN; sisters-in-law, Jean Yentz of Wauwatosa, WI, Dorothy Yentz of Phoenixville, PA, and many highly valued nieces, nephews, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Robert E. Olson, and brothers, Thomas and Jerome Yentz.Zita taught First Grade for 35 years mostly in Racine Unified. She was a member of REA, WREA, NEA, Alpha Delta Kappa University of Women, GFWC of Racine, and St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church.
A Memorial Mass will be held Friday, November 21, 2008, at 10 a.m. at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 6400 Spring St., with Rev. William J. Dietzler officiating. Private entombment will be held at Holy Cross Mausoleum, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Friday at the church from 9 a.m. until time of Mass. Memorials to one’s favorite charity have been suggested.
The family extends a heartfelt thank you to the staffs at both Hospice Alliance and Heartland Hospice for all of their loving and compassionate care.
