Dennis M. Boscher

Dennis M. Boscher, 68, passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2009, at his residence. He was a lifelong resident of Racine, born on June 10, 1941, the son of Martin E. and Louise (nee: Bernath) Boscher.

Dennis graduated from William Horlick High School, class of ’59. After high school he enlisted in the United States Army and spent most of his time in Okinawa. He retired in 2002 after 39 years with WE Energies. Dennis grew up near Lake Michigan and liked spending time on the water, from fishing with his grandpa as a young boy, to his teen years when he formed the “River Rats” boating club, skiing, and his power boat. He also enjoyed playing cards, his motorcycle, sports car and was always ready for a road trip. He was a member of the 5th Street Yacht Club.

Surviving are his son and daughter-in-law, Chris (Tracy) Boscher; grandchildren, Elizabeth and Jack Boscher; sister, Terri Tigges and special friend Nancy Litrenta. He is further survived by aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Lance Brandon Boscher.

A celebration of Dennis’ life will be held at Scores Sports Bar & Grill, 6100 Washington Ave., on Tuesday, September 29, 2009, at 6 p.m. Private burial with full Military Honors will be held at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Hospice Alliance or to one’s favorite charity have been suggested.

I will miss you Dennis. Thank you for always thinking of myself, Katie and Ben. Thank you for tending to my yard when we were in Vietnam to adopt our son. I will miss our late night talks over a beer. You were great friend
