Marc L. Kraimer, Sr., passed away at his home on Thursday, September 3, 2009.
Marc was born in Racine on August 27, 1972, to Lawrence and Sandra (nee, Tatzel) Kraimer. He was united in marriage to the former Pamela Stark on May 30, 1998. Marc was employed by the State of Wisconsin as a Correctional Officer for the past six years.
Marc was a lifelong and dedicated Packers fan. He enjoyed all sports and was a member of many leagues throughout his life, both by himself and also with his wife Pam. Following after several generations of Kraimers, he has always been an avid bowler with a “one of a kind” right hook. He enjoyed shooting pool, softball, basketball, football and golf in his spare time. He was an excellent teacher having great patience and a “can do” attitude.
Marc had natural skills, coached RYS softball, coaching his son’s teams for several years. He has coached or helped on his children’s basketball teams and bowling leagues. He spent eight years supporting all three of his daughters in Girl Scouts, always helping out when needed. Marc supported his children’s schools by being a member of the P.T.A., serving as secretary. His children will always remember spending the day with their dad, as he chaperoned many field trips and helped out in their classrooms. He was a charitable man, donating his time, energy and money to help others in need throughout our community.
Although stressful, Marc was always proud of his career in civil service. He looked at it as an opportunity to be an example to others because he himself had overcome many obstacles. He was well known for being a jack of all trades. He was knowledgeable in computers, cars and home repairs. He most enjoyed building and making things with his hands. He excelled in every aspect of his life. He will be most known for the love and devotion he displayed towards his family. He was a loving and devoted husband, always striving to keep their unbreakable bond. His children were blessed with a “hands on” dad who always made time for them. He made them feel special by always making their needs his priority in life. His sacrifices for his family were so great and endless they will never forget and always be thankful.
Marc took great pleasure in becoming a grandfather and enjoyed his close relationship with his granddaughter. When Jaylynn saw her “papa,” nothing else mattered. Marc was a one of a kind. His life changed and affected many. Though his legacy lives on by all, he will be deeply missed.
Survivors include his wife, Pamela Y. Kraimer; children, Logan Kraimer, Samantha Kraimer, Jamie (Anton Rhoads) Stark, Sarah Robertson and Marc L. Kraimer, Jr.; parents, Lawrence and Bonnie Kraimer; granddaughter, Jaylynn Y. Rhoads; sister, Kim Stetler; Aunt, Lynne (Wallace) Prudhomme; and maternal grandmother, Ella Mae Tatzel.
