Zonna Lauer was born in Racine to the late Martin and Grace (nee: Rogers) Olsen on February 3, 1932, and lived in the Racine area all her life. In Racine, she was united in marriage to Eugene F. Lauer on September 23, 1950.Mrs. Lauer was an avid member of Daughters of the American Revolution. She was active in Yorkville 4H Club, Girl Scouts of the USA, and the PTA. She volunteered at the Racine Historic Society and the Racine Visitors Bureau.
Zonna is survived by her husband of 59 years, Eugene; three daughters, Susan (David) Haake, Holly Lauer and Melissa Lauer; two grandchildren, Katherine and Robert Haake; and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at the Wilson Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 16, 2009, at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Memorials may be directed to Shriner's Hospital for Children.
