Robert L. O’Brien, “Bob”, age 61, passed away Friday, September 25, 2009, at Froedtert Memorial Hospital. Bob was born in Chicago, IL, on February 19, 1948, son of the late George and Virginia (Nee: Cleary) O’Brien and had been a Racine resident since the age of seven.

It was while attending college that he met his future wife, Sharon A, Richardson and they were married on September 4, 1971, in Milladore, WI. Returning to Racine, Bob was employed by Racine County and retired after 35 years working in various departments in Human Services. He also taught sociology at Gateway Technical College and most recently had worked at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Center.
Bob wrote a column for Lifestyles, a monthly publication, for many years. He was a member of St. Richard’s Catholic Church and was one of the founding members of The Sons of Erin.
