Leonard Jacob Majewski, 31, passed away at his home on September 12, 2009 after a courageous battle with brain cancer.
Jake, as he was known to most, was born in Racine on December 23, 1977, to Leonard Charles and Barbara (nee, Parcels) Majewski. He had a great love for his family and was a very loyal friend. Jake was never judgmental and could find the good in everyone. He had a phenomenal memory for movie lines, song lyrics and family stories. His greatest passion was going to the North woods every November, not just to hunt, but to cook Thanksgiving dinner for his hunting buddies.
Jake is survived by his parents, Leonard and Barbara Majewski; sisters, Rebecca (Steven) Svensson of Milwaukee and Jessica (Kimo) Littlejohn of Sugarloaf Key, FL; three nephews, Jacob and Charlie Svensson and Kalei Littlejohn; and his niece, Na’ala Littlejohn. He is also survived by his lifelong friends, Jacob Oesau and Shane McClure, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, whom he considered family. Jake was preceded in death by his grandparents, Leonard Joseph and Clara (nee, Sowatzke) Majewski, and Ted and Marcella (nee, Webster) Parcels.
Jake's wishes were to be cremated and his life celebrated. Please come and celebrate Jake’s life on Saturday, September 19, 2009, at 4 p.m. at his parents' home, 2535 Iris Court.
The family would like to thank Dr. Wade Mueller and Dr. Mark Malkin and their staffs at Froedtert as well as Heartland Hospice for their compassionate care.
