William J. 'Bill' Linstroth

STURTEVANT -- William J. Linstroth, “Bill,” age 46, passed away September 24, 2009, at his residence. Bill was born in Racine on November 9, 1962, son of William and Julie (Nee: Dembroski) Linstroth.

Bill was a graduate of J.I. Case High School, “Class of 1982,” and furthered his education at Gateway Technical College. He had been employed by Martin Ford for the past 7 years. Bill served 18 years on the Racine Fire Bells and 12 years with the Racine County Fire Investigation Task Force. It was with the Racine Fire Bells that he became known for his photography skills. He also was a member of the Sturtevant Fire Department. Bill recently was recognized for his dedication and outstanding service for his support for fire service in Southeastern Wisconsin. In his name, September 13, 2009, was proclaimed William Linstroth Day. His smile and laughter and his famous chocolate cookies will be dearly missed.

Surviving are his parents, William and Julie Linstroth; brothers and sisters-in-law, Michael (Bonnie) Linstroth of Union Grove, Paul (Sharon) Linstroth of Mt. Horeb, WI; niece and nephews, Bryan Linstroth, Jeff (Jenny) Krzyzanowski, Tracy (Christopher) Hanson; great nephew, Trevor Hanson; aunts and uncles, Bernice (Ernest) Styberg, Harry (Sandy) Dembroski, Eileen (Donald) Voss and Eugene Linstroth; many cousins and dear friends and his faithful companion, Jasper. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ben and Evelyn Dembroski and Edward and Florence Linstroth; an uncle and aunts, Jack (Julie) Linstroth and Gloria Linstroth.

Funeral services will be held at the funeral home, on Tuesday, September 29, 2009, at 1:30 p.m. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Garden Mausoleum, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Monday from 5 until 8 p.m. and Tuesday at 1 until time of service. Memorials to the Racine Fire Bells have been suggested.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Michael Mullane, All Saints Cancer Center, Society’s Assets and Hospice Alliance for their loving and compassionate care.
