Lorraine was employed by Piggly Wiggly for twenty years until her retirement in 1982. She was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, Racine Moose Lodge, and the Harvey R. Hansen American Legion Post 310 for sixty-five years and also was a gold star wife. Above all Lorraine was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be dearly missed.Lorraine was preceded in death by three husbands, Paul Miller, James F. Pedersen, and Archie D. Hansen. Survivors include her three children, Peggy (Pete) Vold of Racine, James C. (Stephannie) Pedersen of New Richmond, WI, George Pedersen of Racine; her stepchildren, Vicki (Ron) Eagan of Gilford, NH, Cindy (Dan) Dorf of Racine, Pam (Ernie) Larson of Crystal Lake, MI, Hope Hansen of MD; grandchildren, Aaron Vold, Jeff (Tricia) Pedersen, Chris Pedersen, Joe Hoffman, Erick (Rene) Dunn, Anne Marie (Steve) Fleischman, Jenny (Curt) Kromke, Chris (Marie) Horvath, Corrine (Matthew) Clark, Andrea Christensen; great-grandchildren; sisters, Lucille Soens, Marie (Jerry) Opahle, Margaret (Clyde) Sustachek, all of Racine; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her son, William Pedersen; and brothers and sisters.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 6400 Spring St., on Thursday, September 17, 2009, at 10 a.m. with Rev. William J. Dietzler officiating. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. and at the church on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass.
