Bruce A. Wilson, 77, passed away at home with his family on Wednesday, May 11, 2011.
Bruce was born to the late Adrian and Pearl (nee: Fredrickson) Wilson on October 14, 1933, and lived his entire life in Racine. He was united in marriage to Shirley Schuppe on May 3, 1958. Mr. Wilson had been employed with Western Printing, Wood N Pullet, Boucher Chevrolet and Kremis Farms. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army Signal Corps from 1953 to 1955, the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1959, and the Wisconsin National Guard from 1959 to 1962.
Mr. Wilson was a member of Lutheran Church of the Redeemer. He enjoyed curling, horseshoes, putzing around the house, spending time with his family, slow pitch baseball and reading.
Bruce will be dearly missed by his wife Shirley and their family: Sherry, George, Wendy, Kris, Brad, Joey, Tracy, Kenny, Anna, Pam, Ezra, Thea, Kyle, Jessi, David, Phillip, Emma, Amber, Lil Brad, Casey, Amanda, Hallee, Laren, Angela, Mariah, Bridget, Hailey, Myly, Brianne, Micah, Ashes and Bob; brother, Donald; sisters, Beverly, Pearl, Ruth and Jeannet; many other family and friends. He was preceded by many friends and family but never forgotten.
Memorial services in honor of Bruce will be held at Wilson Funeral Home on Saturday, May 14, 2011, at 3 p.m. Relatives and friends may meet with the family from 2 p.m. until the time of service. Please direct memorials to Hope Safety House.
