Harold Fredrick Pratt

Rhinelander – Harold F. Pratt, 98, passed away at the Seasons of Life Hospice House in Rhinelander on Friday, May 20, 2011.

Harold was born in Racine to the late John and Francis (nee: Buerst) Pratt on March 4, 1913, and lived in Racine for about 40 years. He was united in marriage to Lillian Ferrar on April 22, 1977. They moved to the Flambow Flowage and enjoyed the wildlife, fishing, hunting and snowmobiling. Later in their 25 years  together, they moved back to Sturtevant. He devoted his life to caring for his wife, Lil, who was ill with cancer. In 2004 he moved to Rhinelander near his brother, Albert, there he meet his loving neighbors.

Mr. Pratt was employed by the Racine Quarry and by George Stern Trucking and retired in 1966. He enjoyed building birdhouses, playing cards, running the electric trains he collected and selling his old cars. He loved to play cards and took pride in his gardening. But mostly, he enjoyed telling his many stories of his 98 years of life.
