June M. (Slater) Bliesner

June M. Bliesner, age 74, passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2011, at her residence. June was born in Iron Mountain, MI, on June 20, 1936, daughter of the late Alexander and Marion (Nee: Owen) Slater.

On May 13, 1967, in Racine she was united in marriage to Robert G. Bliesner. June was employed by Highridge Health Care Center for over twenty-five years. She was an avid traveling bingo player and also enjoyed playing cards. More than anything she cherished time spent with her family and will be deeply missed.

Survivors include her loving husband of forty-four years, Robert; her son and daughter-in-law, Rick (Lorie) Slater of Sturtevant; her grandchildren, Michelle Slater of Columbus, OH, Shawn Slater of Racine; brother, Roger (Gerri) Slater of Racine; sister-in-law, Darlene Slater of Sturtevant; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Norine Klinkhammer; and brothers, David and Owen Slater.

Relatives and friends may meet with the family Wednesday, June 1, 2011, at the funeral home from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Interment will be held at West Lawn Memorial Park.

Dear Robert,
You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
June was one of my bowling buddies. She bowled with Chris Larson on Monday nights league, "the Sturtevant Womens League".
We have been bumping into each other lately at the different restraunts.
I am sorry to hear about your loss.
