Edward H. Bohmann, age 94, passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2011, at his residence. Edward was born in Milwaukee, WI, on October 5, 1916, son of the late Charles A. and Mary I. (Nee: Gollner) Bohmann Sr.
On November 24, 1938, he was united in marriage to Margaret “Marge” E. Miller who preceded him in death, July 26, 2004. He proudly served in the United States Army. Edward was employed by SC Johnson Wax for many years, retiring in 1981. He was a lifelong member of St. Rita Catholic Church and member of SC Johnson Wax “20 Year Club.” Edward enjoyed fishing, and tending to his garden, but most of all cherished time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be fondly remembered for his wonderful sense of humor.
Survivors include his daughters, Jacqueline (Burnell) Walbrandt of Elkhorn, Marlene (Al) Hegel of Racine; his grandchildren, Valerie (Steve) Heth of Whitewater, Cass Hoffmann of Burlington, Randy Reed and Ryan Reed, both of Racine, Tammy (Bob) Dunk of Racine, Jessica Hegel of Union Grove, Donald (Laurie) Waddell III of Cape Coral, FL; his great-grandchildren, Monica, Brandon, Kevin, Joe, Michael, Paige, Celina, Donald IV, Audra and Jenna; his great-great-grandchildren, Jayden, Cameron, Joey, Landon and Carlee; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Shirley Miller, Violet Sanders, Robert (Joanie) Miller; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his ten brothers and sisters, Charles, Anthony, Frank, John, Russell, Elizabeth, Adeline, Catherine, Caroline and Elsie; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Bernard (Elaine) Miller, Willard Miller, William Sanders.
A private Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Rita Catholic Church followed by full military honors and entombment at Holy Cross Garden Mausoleum, Hwy 32.
