Albert Follette, age 76, passed away Wednesday, November 25, 2009, at St. Luke’s Medical Center, Milwaukee, WI. He was born in Walloon Lake, MI, October 28, 1933, son of the late Murray and Verona (Nee: Labo) Follette.
Albert served in the United States Army from 1951-1954 stationed in Korea. He was united in marriage to Charlotte J. Howes on May 7, 1977; she preceded him in death on September 25, 2004. Albert was a self-employed truck driver for over thirty years and most recently worked at Manheim Auto Auction for the past six years. He enjoyed woodworking, making bird houses, bird watching and had a passion for watching Westerns. He was a fountain of knowledge for his family, “the go-to guy,” and he will be dearly missed.
Survivors include his children, Michelle (Mike) Hinterberg, Ron Follette, Suzette Delong, Marci (Gregg) Hanrahan, Charlie (Julie) Reif, Richard (Larraine) Follette; 13 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, November 28, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. John D. Aiello officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family on Saturday at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the American Diabetes Association or to the American Heart Association.
