Eula M. Ramsey, age 67, passed away Friday, November 13, 2009, at Wheaton Franciscan-All Saints Medical Center. Eula was born in Texas, daughter of the late Edgar and Versie Odoms, moving to Racine as a child and became a lifelong resident. Eula was employed by A.O. Smith, Triangle Tools, Mack 7 and most recently as a caregiver for adults with special needs which was her true calling in life. Sister Eula was a devout Christian following the teaching of J.R. McFadden.
Eula is survived by one daughter, Sandra L. Ramsey (fiancé, Tom Plank); one son, Michael C. Ramsey (Ruth Wallis); daughter-in-law, Virginia Ramsey; two grandsons, Joshua K. Smith and Philip Ramsey; one granddaughter, Helen Ramsey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved son, David E. Ramsey. Eula will be missed by cousins, close friends, special neighbors, Weena and Bobby Villarreal and their baby, Julio Villarreal.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 20, 2009, at noon, with Rev. J.R. McFadden officiating. Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Friday at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until time of service.
