Pierrette “Frenchy” Gruber, nee Texier, 79, passed away at Kenosha Hospital on Saturday, November 7, 2009.
Pierrette was born in Foussignoc Charente, France, on October 31, 1930, to Lucien M. and Eva (nee, Moreaux) Texier. On September 29, 1956, she married Kenneth H. Gruber in Angouleme, France. He preceded her in death. Pierrette loved the outdoors, especially gardening and nature. She was active in fishing and always helping friends in their time of need. She was also a member of the French Club and St. Rita’s Catholic Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Barb (Dave) Hince; son, Keith (Sue) Gruber; 7 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother, Jean Texier; sister, Louisette Texier; and brother-in-law, Howard (Carol) Gruber. Pierrette is also survived by nieces, nephews and many dear friends.
The Mass of Christian Burial for Pierrette will be held at St. Monica’s Senior Citizen’s Home, 3920 N. Green Bay Road, on Wednesday, November 11, 2009, at noon. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at St. Monica’s on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the time of Mass.
