Guadalupe M. Martinez

Guadalupe M. Martinez, age 22, passed away on Thursday, November 19, 2009, at Froedtert Memorial Hospital, Milwaukee, WI, after a long term battle with Cystic Fibrosis.

She was born in Milwaukee, WI, on February 20, 1987, daughter of Salvador and Angelina Martinez Jr. She graduated from J.I. Case High School “Class of 2005” and went on to attend Gateway Technical College and obtain a Health Unit Coordinator degree. Guadalupe will be remembered for her infectious smile and ability to make people happy. She will be dearly missed.

She is forever survived by her parents, Salvador Martinez Jr. and Angelina J. Martinez; grandfather, Salvador Martinez Sr.; sisters, Margarita (Martin) Garcia, Luciana (Michael) Delgado and Gloria Martinez; brother, Eriberto (Angie) Quesada. She is further survived by nieces, Adalina Delgado and Alicia Garcia; nephews, Juan Garcia, Emilio Delgado and Joseph Delgado; and numerous family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Guadalupe Martinez and Alicia Martinez; Uncle Ralph Martinez; and a special friend, Evelyn Coronado.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, November 24, 2009, at 10 a.m. at Cristo Rey Church, 801 College Ave., with Reverend Roberto McGlinn officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends may meet Monday at the funeral home from 5-7 p.m. and Tuesday at the church 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass. Memorials may be submitted to the family.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the medical staffs at Children’s Hospital and Froedtert Memorial Hospital, and Laurel, Emily, Pat and Gloria for their loving and compassionate care.
