Corrine “Sis” Strohwig, 85, passed away at her residence with her family by her side on Sunday, November 22, 2009.
Corrine was born in Sheboygan on September 6, 1924, to Patrick J. and Cornielia (nee: Wondergem) King “Papa and Mama.” She was an active member of St. Andrew church for many years. Corrine started and volunteered in the food pantry. She dedicated her time, energy and most importantly her devotion to her family. Corrine was always trying to help make someone else’s life a little easier be it food, a place to stay or monetary donation. She was extremely proud to be a part of five living generations for 7 ½ years.
She is survived by her loving daughter and son in law, Claire (Gary) Saulitis; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Michael) Czerwinski, Thomas Lein and Michele (Robert) Hess; great-grandchildren, Melissa Adams, Justin Czerwinski, Jessica, Jennifer and Jacklin Lein and their mother Cheryl and Robert and Thomas Hess; great-great-grandchildren, Jozalyn and Holdyn Adams and one on the way; special niece and goddaughter, Lilley (Russ) Loker and her children, Danielle, Sarah, Jacob and Dustin Loker ; sisters, Arline (Les) Sundell, Joan King, Ann (Thomas) Lorino; and brother, Thomas (Fran) King. Corrine is also survived by sisters and brothers in law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded by her cherished daughter, Renee Trudell Perez; husbands, Wayne Trudell in 1962 and Siegfried Strohwig in 1999; parents; brothers, John Harris and Patrick King; sisters, Mary (Arthur) Dorgay and Sue King; and a host of other family.
Funeral services for Corrine will be held at the funeral home on Friday, November, 27, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy. 32. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of services.
