Helen Janet Clickner, 83, entered in eternal life at Aurora St. Luke’s South Shore in Cudahy on Saturday December 19, 2009, with her loving daughters at her side. She is now reunited with her husband Jim in heaven ─ where life has no end.
Helen was born in Plymouth Township on November 15, 1926, the daughter of C.W. Charles “Carl” and Ethel (nee: Arnold) Burrow. She was a graduate of Beloit High School “Class of 1944.” Helen was united in marriage to James Clickner on June 30, 1945, in Hanover, Wisconsin. She was past president of the American Legion Auxiliary in South Beloit, Illinois.
Helen was last employed as a secretary, retiring from Jensen Metal Products. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and a former member of Lutheran Women’s Missionary League.
Helen is survived by her two daughters, Lori (James) Henkes, Stacy Clickner and Bill Freberg; two granddaughters, Cara and Erica Henkes, all of Racine. She is further survived by one brother, Ronald (Ethel) Burrow, and one sister, Irene Burrow, both of Beloit, WI.; one sister-in-law, Florence Burrow of Darien, WI. Helen is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. .
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim, on December 13, 1990; brothers, Everett and Lorien Burrow.
Funeral services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 2065 Geneva St., on Wednesday December 23, 2009, at 6 p.m. with Rev. Stephen Jennings officiating. Private interment will be held at West Lawn Memorial Park, next to her husband.
There will be a visitation at church on Wednesday from 4 p.m. until service time at 6 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Helen’s name may be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church, Trinity Hand Bell Choir or the South Eastern WI Alzheimer’s Association.
