Richard R. Kobriger Sr.

Richard R. Kobriger Sr., age76, began his heavenly journey Thursday evening, December 3, 2009, at 6:15 P.M. He died peacefully in his home. Richard was born in Milwaukee, WI, December 22, 1932, son of the late Roman J. and Helen (Nee: Sincoular) Kobriger and had been a Racine resident for over forty years.

On December 29, 1951, he was united in marriage to June Marie Feldner. He was an Optician employed by Herslof’s Optical Company for fifty-one years. He was a member of St. Rita Catholic Church and choir. Above all, he was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his beloved wife, June M. (Nee: Feldner) Kobriger of 58 years; his eight children, Virginia Solik, Richard (Michelle) Kobriger Jr., Anthony (Kathy) Kobriger, Sandra (Scott) Hudson, Jerome (Terri) Kobriger, Robert Kobriger, Beth (Jim) Nacker, Joseph (Sheri) Kobriger; 36 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Alice (Ray) Stangel and Mary Jane (Al) Spirkoff.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, December 7, 2009, at noon at St. Rita Catholic Church, 4339 Douglas Ave., with Rev. Joseph G. Stobba O.S.A. officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Monday at the church from 10 a.m. until time of Mass.
