Nancy Petrick

Nancy (nee: Dunleavy) Petrick, 79, passed away on Monday, December 28, 2009, at Ridgewood Care Center. She was born in Racine, on March 16, 1930, the daughter of Arthur and Bernice (nee: Schorn) Dunleavy. Nancy was a William Horlick High School graduate “Class of 1948.”

On January 15, 1949, Nancy was united in marriage to Edward T. Petrick in Dubuque, Iowa; he preceded her in death on August 22, 2009.

Nancy was a member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church and her working career began at Oster Manufacturing as a bookkeeper, she was later employed at Sentry Foods for 16 years, East Park Towers and Holy Communion Lutheran Church as an administrative assistant, retiring in 1992.

Nancy is survived by her sons, Michael Petrick and Larry (Novelette) Petrick all of Racine; step-son, Richard (Nori) Petrick of Stillwater, MN; grandchildren, Andy (Jenny) Petrick, Brian Petrick, Aaron Petrick and Nick Petrick; great-grandsons, Cody, Kyle and Jordan Petrick.

She is also survived by her brother, Paul Dunleavy of Racine; and sister-in-law, Frances Petrick; daughter-in-law, Fran Petrick; also dear friends, Joan Smaglich and LaVern Kreuser. Nancy is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be held at St. Andrew Lutheran Church, 1015 4 Mile Rd., on Saturday January 2, 2009, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Carol Baumgartner officiating. There will be a visitation at church on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until time of service. Private burial will be held at Mound Cemetery.
