Mrs. Vera Mae Oribiletti, 83, passed away at Hospice Alliance in Kenosha on Thursday, December 31, 2009.
Vera Mae was born in Beloit, Wisconsin, to the late John and Marie (nee: LeMoine) Johansen on September 29, 1926. In Kenosha, she was united in marriage to Arthur Oribiletti on September 5, 1964. Together they lived in Racine since 1987.
Mrs. Orbiletti graduated in 1944 from Beloit High School. She was a member of Atonement Lutheran Church and sang in the choir. She was a former member of St. Mary’s Lutheran Church in Kenosha. There she was involved in the choir, taught Sunday school and was active in the soup kitchen. She was also a member of the Kenosha Sweet Adelines. She was an avid reader and was known for her Christmas and Easter cookies. She was a loving grandmother, adored her pets, and served as a foster parent for many years.
Vera is survived by her husband of 45 years, Arthur; three daughters, Patsy (Jack) Andraschko, Susan (Gary) Obry, and Elizabeth (Daniel) Lewis; four grandchildren, Jeffrey (Danielle), Scott, Stephanie (Chris), and Eric; seven great-grandchildren, Hunter, Leigha, Sean, Ryan, Colin, Jessica and Lauren; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by one grandson, Christopher Michael; one brother, Willard Kamard; and two sisters, Grace Cerqua and Jean Spielvogel.
According to Vera’s wishes, a private memorial service will be held at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park. Memorials in her name may be directed to Hospice Alliance, 10220 Prairie Ridge Blvd., Pleasant Prairie, WI 53158.
