Amber Rose Johnson, age 20, sadly left this world on Friday, August 26, 2011. Amber was born in Kenosha September 22, 1990, daughter of Michael and Kathleen (nee: Brill) Johnson.
Amber attended Washington Park High School. She was an avid writer and a talented designer of graphics and collages. A great lover of the arts, music and downtown Racine, Amber was active volunteering her time with the Racine Arts Council, the Racine Historical Society and with the entire downtown and Sixth Street art community. She especially loved her time spent with her brother, Connor.
Amber will be dearly missed by her parents, Michael and Kathy Johnson and her brother, Connor; her grandparents, Allen and Hazel Johnson of Racine, and Kandice Brill of Kenosha; aunts and uncles, Christian (Brenda) Johnson, Carla (Eric) Bergemann, Erik (Vanessa) Johnson, Barry (Monica) Brill, Theresa Brill; great aunts and great uncles, Mary Peterson, Bob (Kathy) Buege, Richard Buege, Shirley Maki, Rosemary DuBois; her boyfriend, Jacob Tompsett; cousins, other relatives and dear friends.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home Thursday September 1, 2011, at 6 p.m. with Rev. Thomas E. Chryst officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home Thursday from 4 p.m. until time of service at 6 p.m.
