Betty Jane Andresen, age 90, passed away Saturday, August 13, 2011, at Lincoln Village Convalescent Center. Betty was born in Racine on November 8, 1920, daughter of the late Fred W. and Jeanette E. (Nee: Welch) Peil.
On December 14, 1975, she was united in marriage to John A. Andresen who preceded her in death in 2001. Betty was employed at Wheary Luggage for a number of years and retired from Woolworth in Kenosha after many years. She was a member of St. Michael’s Episcopal Church.
Survivors include her stepchildren, Debra (Donald) Geiman, Sandra Tockey, Barbra (Larry) Morton, Lynora (Gerald) Darden, John Andresen; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, James (Rose Ann) Andresen, Wayne (Anh) Andresen, Elaine (John) Urhausen; special friends, Nancy and Bob Larsen; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 18, 2011, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Terry McGugan officiating. Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Thursday at the funeral home from 1:30 p.m. until time of service at 2 p.m.
