James H. 'Jimmy Mack' Lyman

James H. Lyman, age 69, passed away Saturday, August 20, 2011, at Woodstock Health and Rehab Center. He was born in Chicago, IL, son of the late James and Mary (Nee: Lashlee) Lyman.

On February 27, 2001, he was united in marriage to Darlene Waters. Jimmy was a well known DJ for many years in the Chicago, Waukegan and Kenosha areas. His trade line was “Jimmy Mack is Back!” He will be dearly missed.

Surviving are his wife, Darlene; children, Robert (Lawanda) Taylor, Shawneda (Paul) Marks, Switzerland Curry, Nikki Curry, Eugenia Woods and Mary Little; 13 grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Charles Lyman, Joe Lyman, Greg Lyman, Diane Lyman, Delores Lyman, Valerie Ingram, Baron Robertson; other relatives and dear friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Emma Lyman and Betty Grover; his brother, Allen Lyman; and his first cousin, Frankie Lyman.

Funeral services will be held at the funeral home Saturday, August 27, 2011, at 11 a.m. with Reverend LeRoy Shanks officiating. Relatives and friends may meet Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of service.
