Richard L. Dehne, age 60, passed away Thursday, August 4, 2011, at Wheaton Franciscan All Saints Medical Center. He was born in Racine, August 9, 1950, son of the late George and Esther (Nee: Wendorf) Dehne.
Rich was employed by Clean Co. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, solving puzzles and his dog Delia. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and will be dearly missed.
Surviving are his children who knew him as “Dad,” Teena Dehne, Richard (Stacey) Dehne, Bryan (Lorena) Damrow, James (Amy) Dehne; those who knew him as “Pops,” Leslie (Ken) Coombs, Beth Cornwell, Sandra (John) Zillyette, John Marchant; grandchildren, Terah, Dylan, Nikelas, Shayley, Alarik, Evangelina, Autumn, Austin, Stephanie, Crystal, Emily, Shannon, Cassie, and Tyler; great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers, Sherri Street, Carol Lockhart, Margie Wagner, Joanie (Mike) Jorgensen, Elaine “Tutti” (John) Lopez, Donald Dehne, Raymond (Ruth) Dehne; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, William, Sandra, Roger, Frederick, Robert, Donna and Jimmy.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home Monday August 8, 2011, at 7 p.m. with Reverend John Flemming officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Monday from 4 p.m. until time of service at 7 p.m.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Wheaton Franciscan Hospice, hospice nurses Mary and Lori, Dr. Michael Mullane, Kelly and staff and the nurses on 2D for their loving and compassionate care.
